I am pleased to announce that I will be speaking at the upcoming National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel Annual Conference on the topic of aging skin.  The NPIAP’s core mission is to provide interprofessional leadership to improve patient outcomes in pressure injury prevention and management through education, public policy, and research.  The conference will be held virtually due to the Covid pandemic, so you can view and participate in your home or workplace.

My session is entitled Skin Through the Flight of Life and is scheduled for Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM.  The moderator is Lee Ruotsi MD, and my distinguished co-presenters include Ann Marie Nie, MSN, FNP-BC, CWOCN and Rob Kirsner, MD, PhD.  Collectively we will identify changes in skin from neonate to elder along with clinical significance of these changes.

The 3 day conference will cover many important topics critical to todays wound care practitioner including support surfaces, public policy, staging challenges, and state-of-the-art considerations for care of the Covid patient.  I hope that you can attend, and check out the links below for registration and agenda.
