I just got back from the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel Biennial Meeting in Las Vegas, where my Pocket Guide to Pressure Ulcers was exhibited and given its debut in digital format. The guide was authored by myself and Elizabeth Ayello PhD, RN, and has sold over 30,000 copies internationally. The book is published by New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) Healthcare Business Solutions, and their staff has done an incredible job of quality layout and lamination that makes this guide such a help to nurses and doctors who care for wounds.
The book has now been converted into electronic form, and is available for purchase and download for iPad, iPhone, and iTouch. The NJHA technical team is now preparing versions for the Android and Blackberry platforms which should be available soon. Digital conversion of the book promises to expand the audience and make it more effective for bedside teaching and wound documentation.
Don’t gamble with wound identification. Watch this video and see how much clinicians love this book!
